After graduating university with a degree in English literature with a minor in history in art, Darin was basically unemployable. He could write like a hot damn, but most employers were looking for a drone to push paper and live for the weekend.
He and his wife struck out to Korea to teach and travel for a few years, which solidified his love for the structure of sentences and knowing when to use discrete rather than discreet (seriously, there’s a difference — can you believe that?).
When they returned he didn’t know what would happen next, but he took a job with Trafford Publishing, one of the first on-demand publishing companies in the world, and discovered a huge group of people who needed editing for their books. He started freelancing as an editor on the side while he learned to produce video and audio (because words don’t always pay the bills).
Fifteen-ish years later Darin’s days are filled with bits of all three mediums, which is really great. He works from his home office in Victoria.
